Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil announced the start date of the actual work on the reconstruction of Ibn Sina Hospital, with a capacity of 600 beds, on the right side of Mosul, within the next ten days .

Al-Dakhil said, “A meeting was held between Nineveh Governorate, the Financial Supervision, the Reconstruction Assistant, Nineveh Health, the implementing company, and the consulting company for the Ibn Sina Hospital project .”

He added that “a record was reached that binds all parties and includes the commencement of actual work within 10 days,” stressing that “327 billion dinars have been allocated for the project,” and he also pointed out that “the work period has been reduced to two years instead of three years due to the delay in commencing implementation .”

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani had previously laid the foundation stone for the Ibn Sina Hospital project in 2023, but work has not yet begun due to technical and financial problems and the failure to sign with the consulting company .
