Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil received MPs Abdul Rahim Al-Shammari and Waad Al-Qaddo to discuss the file of heads of administrative units in the governorate.
A statement from Al-Dakhil’s office said that the governor met with the two representatives, Abdul Rahim Al-Shammari and Waad Al-Qaddo, in the presence of a number of members of the provincial council from the Unified Nineveh Bloc and the Future Nineveh Alliance, and discussed with them the recent understandings and consultations related to the administrative files pending between the two blocs.
A member of the Nineveh Council revealed yesterday that a meeting was held between the head of the Nineveh Council and the future members of Nineveh at the home of MP Waad Al-Qaddo, to resolve the differences over the administrative units, stressing that those present threatened to question the governor if he did not issue orders to the heads of those units.
The council member, who preferred not to reveal his name, said, “The members of the Nineveh Future Provincial Council, headed by the council chairman Ahmed Al-Hasoud, discussed, during an invitation extended to them by MP Waad Al-Qaddo at his home in Bartella district, the upcoming entitlements of the council’s framework and the delay in issuing administrative orders to the heads of the administrative units.”
He explained that “those who met formed a team to go to the Nineveh Governor to negotiate and determine the reasons for the delay in issuing administrative orders to the heads of the administrative units. The member did not rule out that “the council will go to question the governor if the efforts to negotiate with him to issue the administrative orders fail.”
