Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil revealed that the German Federal Government will provide a financial grant of 15 million euros to build approximately (260) low-cost housing units in Sinjar District in order to support the return of displaced Yazidis to the district .

Al-Dakhil continued during his reception of the Federal Commissioner for Freedom of Religion and Beliefs in the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank Schagab, and the accompanying parliamentary delegation, that Germany has provided great support to Nineveh since the liberation operations .

Indicating that the support was translated into equipping Nineveh Governorate with machinery, in addition to settling the displaced .

He added that most of the Yazidis are expatriates in Germany , and that he discussed with the German delegation the need to provide the necessary support to work on their return to their regions .

The German Federal Commissioner expressed his happiness to visit the city of Mosul, indicating at the same time that he was impressed by what he saw of the reconstruction of the infrastructure and the rehabilitation of mosques and religious churches.
