Former Nineveh Provincial Council member Ali Khadir confirmed that many alliances are exploiting the security establishment to achieve political gains in the elections .

Khadir said in a statement to the Mosul Talk program broadcast by Mosul Time Radio that the National Contract Alliance and the National Identity Alliance, led by Ryan Al-Kaldani, have become a difficult number in the political equation in Nineveh, due to the exploitation of the Popular Mobilization Forces by those alliances .

He pointed out that the Popular Mobilization Forces have turned into political and party headquarters for these alliances, in reference to the national contract and national identity.

In the context, Khadir, who recently defected from the Progress Party and was a candidate for it in the provincial council elections, accused Halbousi’s party and the majority of political blocs whose leadership is based outside Nineveh of “having unique opinions, following a policy of imposing a fait accompli, and marginalizing their members.”
