The Nineveh Roads and Bridges Directorate announced yesterday , Tuesday, that the city’s ring road project will soon be referred for investment, which is one of the most important strategic projects announced by the local government in Nineveh .
Director of Nineveh Roads and Bridges Radwan Al-Shahwani said: “The Mosul ring road project will be referred soon after resolving the problems and obstacles that were hindering its referral .”
He explained that “the approaches to the sixth bridge are part of the circular road that extends for more than 20 kilometers,” noting that “these problems were overcome through communication with the relevant departments and the Ministries of Planning and Housing in Baghdad .”
Regarding the reopening of the old iron bridge in Mosul, which is undergoing maintenance, Al-Shahwani announced that “the bridge will be opened to traffic next week.”
