Yesterday , Wednesday, the Syrian Ambassador to Baghdad, Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, denied what was circulated by some social media platforms and news websites regarding the requirement of a sponsor to enter the Syrian Arab Republic .
Al-Dandah said, “The allegations that a sponsor is required for Iraqis to enter Syrian territory are completely untrue .”
He stressed that “Iraqi brothers have the right to enter Syria at any time without a sponsor, and there has been no announcement or decision issued regarding this procedure at all .”
Some social media platforms circulated “false” instructions regarding the entry of Iraqis into Syria, claiming that they included a Syrian sponsor in exchange for financial sums and a hotel reservation.
