Yesterday , Tuesday, Abdul Rahim Al-Shammari, a member of the Iraqi parliament for Nineveh province, confirmed that there were interferences from influential and political parties in the work of the province’s education, especially with regard to the distribution of school staff .

Al-Shammari said, “There are interventions by officials and influential parties in the work of Nineveh Education, especially in the matter of distributing school staff .”

He pointed out that a major defect was diagnosed in the distribution of teaching staff, as the education sector in the schools of western Nineveh and right Mosul suffers from a major shortage in the number of teaching staff, to the point that some of them only contain one or two teachers .

Al-Shammari continued, saying: “On the other hand, there is an increase in the number of teachers in the schools on the left side, which confirms the existence of an imbalance in the distribution of teaching staff .”

Al-Shammari stressed that “the obedience of the Nineveh Education Director to the officials and influential people in the staffing file will not intercede for him and keep him in his position as he believes .”

Sources in Nineveh had revealed interference from political and influential parties in the work of Nineveh Education for several weeks, without Nineveh Education or the Ministry of Education taking action to stop these interferences.
