The representative of Nineveh province, Sherwan Al-Dobardani, confirmed that the political power of the Kurdish parties will not decline in Nineveh despite the political transformations and changes in the electoral law. Al-Dobardani confirmed in a statement to the Mosul Talk program broadcast by Mosul Time Radio that there are many political parties from outside Nineveh that have begun to impose their political control over the province, exploiting their possession of money, weapons, and influence in the Popular Mobilization Forces. He indicated that these weapons, the exploitation of the Mobilization Forces, and the use of parties from outside Iraq, as happened in Sinjar, which is under the control of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, have negatively affected the political reality of Nineveh province .
described the recent campaign that targeted arming the Peshmerga forces as a political campaign, denying that the Peshmerga forces were a threat to Iraqi security. Al-Dobardani said that the Peshmerga are part of the Iraqi defense system and cannot be a threat to Iraqi security, indicating that the statements rejecting arming them are political statements and their purpose is political.
