The head of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Ziad Al-Janabi, confirmed that Three ministers, including Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, will be hosted in upcoming sessions .

Al-Janabi said during a press conference held today at the parliament building, with the participation of committee members, that the committee will host more than three ministers this week, including the Minister of Interior, indicating that the committee had previously sent official letters regarding contracts related to the ministry, whether during the term of the current minister or previous ministers, but had not yet received the necessary responses .

Al-Janabi pointed out that the committee will not exclude any of the current ministers, whether from the Ministry of Interior, Oil, Water Resources, or others, stressing that the committee’s strategy includes following up and monitoring the work of all ministries .

He explained that the members of the Integrity Committee are responsible for preserving public money, with a focus on combating financial and administrative corruption, including administrative positions in the relevant ministries .

He pointed out that cases of financial and administrative corruption were monitored in the Ministry of Oil and violations in the Ministry of Agriculture, in addition to many violations committed by ministers, directors and governors .

He added that the Integrity Committee formed sub-committees in all governorates to follow up on the work of government institutions, and a special committee to follow up on the work of the Integrity Commission. He also pointed out that there are favoritisms in the Real Estate Bank that affect public money .

Al-Janabi stressed that the committee will work to involve the Integrity Commission and the Financial Supervision Bureau in investigations and reports related to corruption, pointing out that some ministers may think that their violations have not been detected, but the committee will be on the lookout for them .

Regarding the Ministry of Agriculture, Al-Janabi revealed that land division and distribution for partisan and electoral purposes had been monitored, stressing that the committee would conduct field visits to follow up on this file and hold the corrupt accountable. Violations were also monitored in the National Investment Commission, and the head of the commission will be hosted this week to discuss the details of these violations and refer them to the judiciary .

Al-Janabi explained that the committee has monitored many violations since the announcement of the budget, including devious methods used by ministers, governors and general managers. He also indicated that the committee will host the Minister of Finance soon to follow up on some details related to the violations in the ministry .

In conclusion, Al-Janabi stressed that the committee will not favor any person or party, and will announce all referrals to the judiciary based on the investigations it has conducted.
