The President of the University of Mosul, Qusay Al-Ahmadi, stressed his rejection of political interference and partisan quotas in the distribution of deans and assistants’ positions at the university.
Al-Ahmadi said in a statement to the Mosul Talk program broadcast by Mosul Time Radio that the university rejects partisan quotas and political interference in the selection of college deans and assistants to the university president.
He added that some candidates for the positions of deans may have political connections, but these connections will not have any impact on reaching the position, indicating that the University of Mosul is not following the path of quotas and distributing senior positions within it.
Meanwhile, the President of Mosul University, Qusay Al-Ahmadi, confirmed the spread of unconfirmed information about some figures signing blank papers to influential parties in Baghdad in order to obtain the position of President of Mosul University.
Al-Ahmadi said in a statement to the Mosul Talk program broadcast by Mosul Time Radio that he heard about some figures seeking to obtain the position of university president by signing blank papers for influential parties in Baghdad, but he stressed that these actions and practices cannot be adopted at the University of Mosul because the Ministry of Education rejects any political interference in appointing senior positions there. He also stressed that the Ministry of Education relies on competence, professionalism, and science in appointing senior positions, and not moving through partisan parties.
