Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed yesterday , Saturday, that Iraq has overcome difficult stages thanks to the societal awareness embodied by social activities in their various forms, while he indicated that the Iraqi tribes have always stood with the state since its establishment .

The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement: “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received a group of sheikhs and dignitaries of the Shammar tribe from Nineveh Governorate, where he stressed the importance of the role of tribes in strengthening the state’s strength and supporting the law, as they represent a social umbrella for all citizens .”

He added, “The Iraqi tribes have always stood with the state since its establishment, and have made sacrifices in order to protect Iraq and its independence .”

The Prime Minister stressed – according to the statement – the “necessity of solidarity to confront the challenges facing the region today,” noting that “Iraq has overcome the difficult stages thanks to the societal awareness embodied by social activities in their various forms, including tribes and clans, and is on the verge of a developmental renaissance thanks to the stability achieved after the victory over terrorism .”

For their part, the delegation members praised – according to the statement – “the importance of what the government is working on in the framework of agricultural development, the development of irrigation methods and irrigation projects, in addition to the service projects witnessed by Nineveh Governorate, which support the local economy of the governorate and all of Iraq.”
