The issue of the committees in the Nineveh Governorate Council is still not resolved despite reaching a rapprochement with these committees sharing the papers through mediations trying to resolve the crisis of papers and moving the council to perform its normal tasks, which faltered at the beginning of its journey.

But other sources talk about the agreement being vetoed and not being accepted by other parties. Members of the Nineveh Provincial Council revealed that the dispute between the unified Nineveh, which has 13 seats, and the future Nineveh, which includes the framework alliances, which has 16 seats in the Nineveh Council, has reached the end of its journey after dividing the committees within the council, with 9 committees for members of the unified Nineveh, and 11 committees for the members of the future Nineveh.

The conflict raged in the corridors of the Nineveh Provincial Council and it faltered at the beginning of its journey after it failed in its first session and failed to choose committees after the attempts of the Coordination Framework Alliance to take over 14 committees and 6 committees of the Unified Nineveh Alliance.

Members of the Council said that mediations by the Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil, reached a convergence of views after an invitation to an iftar during which the Governor brought together the President and members of the Council from the two main blocs, and then they discussed the causes of the dispute and solutions.

The members added that the meeting over the Iftar invitation led to the division of committees into 11 for the Future Nineveh Alliance and 9 for the United Nineveh Alliance, but the controversy was over the main committees, which are health, education, industry and integrity, which the framework was seeking to take over, with the two parties sharing these committees. Other sources in the Council suggested that other political blocs would reject this agreement, which means that the differences will return to the first stage.
