The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced yesterday , Wednesday, the completion of the (Badriya – Ba’adhra) road project in Nineveh .

The Ministry’s media center stated in a statement that “under the supervision of its Roads and Bridges Department, the Ministry has completed the project to establish the second lane of the (Badriya – Ba’adhra) road, with the maintenance of the old lane, with a length of (21,690) km in Nineveh Governorate .”

He added, “The project is considered one of the important and strategic roads, as it connects the city of Mosul to the districts of the governorate, which contributes to the smooth movement of vehicles and the reduction of traffic accidents .”

He added, “The project includes the construction of a new second lane for the road linking Badriya to Ba’adhra within the governorate, with rehabilitation works for the old road, furnishing and planning, installing protective fences, paving works with polymer-treated asphalt, implementing tubular and box bridges and a pedestrian crossing bridge, with the installation of concrete barriers (New Jersey) in the median strip . “

He pointed out that “the work on the old corridor included maintenance and scraping of the damaged parts, along with covering works with two layers treated with polymer, planning and furnishing, and creating lanes for acceleration, deceleration and regular turning, according to the latest technical specifications .”
