The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities confirmed on Monday that the upcoming population census will provide an accurate database on housing needs in Iraq, while indicating that the government has worked to allocate housing units for poor families within city projects .

Al-Saffar added, “The new residential city projects come within the framework of the government program, which aims to provide housing for citizens from the poor, vulnerable and limited-income classes .”
He added, “The government is working to implement these projects through partnerships with developers and investors, where a percentage of the residential units or serviced lands are allocated to be distributed to these categories.”
