The representative of Nineveh, Muhammad Nouri Al-Abd Rabbo, revealed an initiative launched that includes holding discussions and meetings with opponents in the Nineveh Council in order to address the political dispute that has been ongoing for two months within the Provincial Council.
Al-Abd Rabbo said that the initiative includes dialogue between the political forces in the Nineveh Council to end differences and obstruction of the Council’s work, calling on the political forces in Nineveh to avoid media escalation in the next stage in order to reach the point of overcoming the differences.
For his part, Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil affirmed his full support for dialogue and understandings between the political forces in the Nineveh Council in order to overcome differences and resume the work of the Council .
Al-Dakhil said that there is a political breakthrough that Nineveh will witness soon, stressing that political entitlements and interests must not affect the work of the council and the public interest.
At that time, the Nineveh Unified Bloc reiterated its “illegality and illegality” of the procedures for electing and replacing the heads of administrative units in Nineveh Governorate .

Al-Nujaifi stressed that the main problem currently facing Nineveh is “the absence of general political leadership that can manage the political blocs, in addition to the weak role and voice of Nineveh’s representatives in the political blocs within which they work.”
