to be very clear from the beginning that the Israelis have given deterrent warnings to the Iranian-backed militias here in Iraq that are attacking Israel ,” Romanowski said during a roundtable with a number of media outlets .

She added, “These militias are the ones who started attacking Israel, and I will be very clear on this point, and the Israelis warned the Iraqi government to stop these militias from their repeated and continuous attacks on Israel .”

She added, “Our message to the Iraqi government is to control these unruly militias that do not obey the orders of the government or the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Prime Minister. She pointed out that “the United States of America has taken a vital position and also constructive positions and has a very large role in reducing regional escalation and engaging directly with the Iraqi government and the Iraqi political elites and leaders, and we have encouraged the Iraqi government to prevent such terrorist attacks from its territory against any country, and it is not in Iraq’s interest to engage in the regional conflict at all. We encourage the Iraqi government to prevent any terrorist attacks emanating from its territory .”

She pointed out that the United States “welcomes the statement issued by Mr. Sistani in recent weeks, which focused in its points on non-foreign interference in all aspects and by everyone, whatever this interference may be, imposing the rule of law, restricting weapons to the state, and combating corruption, in addition to the efforts of the Iraqi government in this area .”

She pointed out that “Mr. Sistani also reinforced this in his statement and was very clear that the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people do not want to enter into this conflict.”
