A responsible source in Salahuddin Police revealed, last Wednesday evening , the arrest of eight wanted persons, including a foreigner and a Syrian, north of the province .

The source said, “A security force from the Sharqat Police Department was able to arrest three people against whom arrest warrants were issued in accordance with Article 4/Terrorism, and a fourth person wanted by the security authorities, based on accurate intelligence information that led to their arrest .”

The source added, “Another security force arrested another wanted person in Al-Ishaqi district, against whom an arrest warrant was issued in accordance with Article 4/Terrorism as well .”

He pointed out that “the Control Affairs Department at the Martyr Major General Sabah Safar checkpoint (north of Tuz) seized a Hyundai/Elantra vehicle, driven by (S. A. S.) and accompanied by (S. K. A.), a Syrian national, and (A. W. S.), a foreign national, both of whom were in violation of residency conditions, coming from Kirkuk Governorate towards Baghdad Governorate. The vehicle, its driver and the individuals were handed over to the Tuz Police Department/Al-Asri neighborhood police station.”
