Yesterday , Syrian Minister of Justice Ahmed al-Sayed revealed that there are forcibly disappeared citizens whose fate is still unknown, stressing that there are human rights violations against detainees in the prisons of Bashar al-Assad’s regime .
Al-Sayed said in exclusive statements to Al-Hurra website that the fate of those forcibly disappeared is still unknown. “I have been in the government for four years, and I know nothing about the fate of those forcibly disappeared .”
This comes hours after the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” forces announced their control over Damascus, and the “escape” of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad .
The Syrian Minister of Justice, Mr. Sayyed, expressed his optimism after the recent developments, saying, “I have absolute confidence that justice will prevail in the new Syria .”
Mr. Al-Sayed blamed President Assad for the situation in the country, saying, “Shame on you for what you did to Syria, Bashar Al-Assad.”
