TBI warned of forged phone numbers and pages that practice fraud and deception, while stressing the need for citizens not to send their private data or deal with them .

The bank’s media expert, Aqeel Al-Shuwaili, said , “We monitored phone numbers using the WhatsApp application and fake pages bearing the bank’s logo . ”

He stated that “these pages advertise the sale of the dollar at the official rate to those who have travel or money transfers for the sake of fraud, and they also mislead citizens who are not informed about following the bank’s verified social media sites .”

Al-Shuwaili pointed out that “the bank’s phone numbers are on our documented pages,” pointing out that “the bank has taken legal measures against anyone who uses the name and logo of the bank and misleads citizens, in accordance with Iraqi law .”

Al-Shuwaili warned citizens “not to send their private data, deal with them, or deposit sums of money via masterbatch to unreliable parties,” pointing out that “the bank does not bear any consequences for that.”
