Mosul time
The US Ambassador to Iraq, Elena Romanski, said in her post on X on Tuesday that she met with the Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil.
Romanski added, “I met with the new governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil, to review the progress made in the reconstruction of Nineveh, the return of internally displaced persons, and support for the people of Sinjar as we approach the tenth anniversary of the genocide committed by ISIS.”
The American ambassador added, “The United States remains committed to the Iraqi people in rebuilding their communities for displaced people, vulnerable groups, and minorities.”
