The Egyptian company implementing the sixth bridge construction project in the city of Mosul announced that the completion rate of the bridge has reached more than 90%, and that work is continuing in three working shifts, day and night.
The project’s executive director, Engineer Ahmed Hussein, said that all governorate departments are cooperating to complete the work progress and complete the bridge.
Hussein explained the delivery of electricity to the lighting poles on the bridge, indicating that the second phase of the bridge and its approaches from the right side has not begun yet.
He stated that the Al-Kubba Bridge from the side of the Rashidiya area will begin next week, according to him.
Mosul residents raise several questions about the fate of the approaches to the bridge from the right side, expressing their fears of replicating the experience of Al-Falah Bridge, which Mosul residents describe as “alien.”
Observers point out that the approaches to the bridge from the right side will require a long time, especially since the approvals have not been completed yet, as starting the project requires announcement, then referral, and then implementation.
