The Independent High Electoral Commission announced the opening dates of polling stations for the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections .
The commission stated in a statement that we inform “alliances, parties, candidates, their agents, voters, observers and all media personnel that the polling centers and stations for the 2024 Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. for special voting on Friday, 10/18/2024, and on Sunday, 10/20/2024, for general voting .”
She pointed out that “there will be no extension of the voting process, as the process of opening and closing polling stations will be electronic .”
She stressed that “voting will be done using the biometric voter card only, and according to the decision of the Supreme Security Committee, it is prohibited to bring mobile phones and cameras into polling stations and centres, with the exception of the centres designated for media personnel.”
