Yesterday , Tuesday, the Iraqi Council of Ministers approved opening the door to voluntary donations for all state employees and members, by deducting (1) percent of the salary, allowances, and retirement salary, to support Gaza and Lebanon .

This came during the 47th regular session of the Council, which was held under the chairmanship of the Council Speaker, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, during which the latest developments in the country were discussed, important files in various fields were discussed, and the progress of implementing the government program with its working priorities .

A statement by the Prime Minister’s Office received by Shafaq News Agency stated, “Within the framework of official and popular support for our people in Gaza and Lebanon, and in order to provide them with the necessary relief materials, in light of the harsh conditions they are exposed to, and within the government’s approach to encouraging voluntary work and initiatives, the Council of Ministers voted to approve opening the door to voluntary donations for all state employees and members, by deducting (1) percent of the salary, allowances, and retirement salary, for those who wish to do so, and the amount is deposited in the Gaza and Lebanon support accounts equally, or according to the priorities determined by the Prime Minister, provided that this decision is implemented starting from December 1, 2024. “
