Nineveh Criminal Court issued a temporary prison sentence of 10 years against the owner of Al-Haitham Hall in Al-Hamdaniya in the governorate .
The court decision stated that “Nineveh Criminal Court (Second Panel) issued a ruling against the owner of Al-Haitham Hall, which witnessed a major fire in Al-Hamdaniya district and led to the death and injury of many citizens, with a temporary prison sentence of 10 years .”
She added that “the court called on the plaintiffs with personal rights and the injured complainants to reserve the right to claim compensation before the civil courts in order for the ruling to become final.”
