Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil announced the Court of Cassation’s approval of the decision to terminate the investor’s contract in the case of the Nineveh International Hotel (Oberoi), the most luxurious hotel in the governorate .

Al-Dakhil said, “The Federal Court of Cassation ratified the initial ruling that was upheld by the Court of Appeal to terminate the contract of the Nineveh International Hotel (Oberoi) with the investor .”

The governor explained that the decision “came after a long legal dispute between the Ministry of Culture and the investor over the management of the hotel, which is one of the most luxurious hotels in Nineveh .”

It is noteworthy that the hotel suffered significant damage due to the war on ISIS, which affected its commercial and tourism activity .

The hotel was a prominent landmark in the city, but it became a complex legal case due to the mutual lawsuits.
