The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the Nineveh Provincial Council, Ahmed Al-Kiki, confirmed that there are parties from outside Nineveh interfering in the political affairs of the province.
Al-Kiki said, “The negotiations currently underway have not yielded any tangible results so far, despite the passage of 3 months since the start of the talks.”
He added that “there is external interference in the political affairs of the province,” noting that “some of this interference comes from parliamentarians and parties outside the province, whether from Baghdad or Erbil.”
He pointed out that “the breach of political consensus is what prompted them to withdraw from participation,” noting that “the bloc agreed to an invitation to hold new negotiations based on the request of the other blocs.”
