The Director of the Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Hospital in Nineveh, Dr. Abdul Qader Salem Aktmal, confirmed that work on the new Oncology Hospital building will begin early next year .
Salem pointed out that the new hospital will include a qualitative leap in Nineveh in the field of cancer treatment .
He explained that the new hospital includes 3 linear accelerators, 33 rooms for giving radioactive iodine, and 100 beds to receive patients and give them doses and treatments for treatment.
The director of the Oncology Hospital in Nineveh had called over the past years following the liberation of the province from ISIS for the necessity of speeding up the completion of the reconstruction of the Oncology Hospital building and providing it with linear accelerators, in light of what patients in Nineveh province are suffering and their need to travel to other provinces to receive treatment.
