The US Army Central Command reported that ISIS is trying to reconstitute itself in areas of Iraq and Syria.
The leadership confirmed in a statement that the organization’s attacks in Syria and Iraq are on their way to doubling compared to last year.
The Central Command said in a statement that ISIS claimed responsibility for 153 attacks in both countries during the first six months of 2024.
The organization was behind 121 attacks in Syria and Iraq during 2023, according to an American defense official who spoke about this matter.
