Iraqi car sales in September 2024 fell by 3.5% compared to the previous year, however sales have grown so far by 24.7% in volume terms year-on-year, with most brands in the top ten recording significant growth .

Focus 2 Move reported in a report, “Cumulative data through September 2024 By brand, Toyota was in the lead with 32,434 sales (+42.6%), followed by Kia with 30,266 new registrations (+25.7%).”

According to the company’s report, Hyundai came in third place with 15,201 new registrations (+41.3%), followed by MG in fourth place with 7,768 sales (-20.6%), Suzuki in fifth place with an increase of one place – with 4,504 (+69.1%), Chevrolet in sixth place with 3,621 sales (-11.7%) and Great Wall in seventh place with 2,609 cumulative sales (+65.7%).

She added, “Changan cars ranked eighth with sales of 2,552 (+16.9%), followed by Chery in ninth place with sales of 2,384 (+5%), then Nissan, which closed the top ten with sales of 1,460 new cars this year .”

“Of the specific models, Toyota Hilux became the best-selling with a 44.3% increase in sales year-on-year, followed by Kia Frontier, up 16.8%,” she noted.
