The General Company for Airports Management, affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, announced yesterday , Monday, the start of the installation and operation of the air guidance and automatic landing system at Mosul International Airport .

The Ministry’s media office stated, quoting the company’s general manager, Abbas Al-Baydani, in a statement that “this project is being carried out under the supervision of specialized technical teams and in line with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, with full commitment to international aviation standards,” noting “the importance of this system in improving air traffic and increasing the airport’s capacity .”

He added, “The project to install and operate the air guidance and automatic landing system at Mosul International Airport aims to enhance the efficiency of air operations and ensure the highest levels of safety for passengers and aircraft. This comes within a comprehensive development plan for the airport that seeks to modernize its infrastructure and provide it with the latest global technologies in the field of aviation .”
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Transport continues to install the radar for Mosul International Airport .
