The Ministry of Transport announced yesterday , Saturday, that the completion rate of Mosul Airport has reached 86%, while indicating that it is expected to open in 2025 .
The spokesman for the Ministry of Transport, Mitham Al-Safi, said: “The completion rate of Mosul Airport has reached 86%, and it is expected to open in 2025. “
He explained that “the airport’s tasks are limited to receiving and transporting aircraft and providing them with the necessary services, while the companies specialized in aviation and air transport are responsible for receiving and adding aircraft .”
Earlier, during his visit to Al Wasl Airport, the Prime Minister stressed the need for the concerned authorities to make every effort to facilitate the completion of the rehabilitation stages, and to adhere to the timetables set in advance to complete its stages, in order to expedite the operation process .
For his part, Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi confirmed earlier that the beginning of next year 2025 will witness the opening of Mosul International Airport.
