A medical source in Nineveh Governorate reported yesterday , Friday, that two children died of suffocation while they were playing inside the trunk of a car in the Zammar district, northwest of Mosul, in light of the high temperatures .
The source reported that “the child (Muhammad Nashwan Ali) and the girl (Rand Hussein Ali), five-year-old cousins, were playing near their home in the village of Tal Khader in the Zamar district of Nineveh,” noting that “their families felt their absence after two hours, and when they searched for them, they found them inside a box.” The wheels were suffocated after the box was closed on them .”
The source continued; “They were taken to the hospital, and after tests were conducted, it was found that they had died as a result of suffocation inside the tire box .”
The source added, “The two victims are cousins of siblings who live near each other, and that the two children went missing while they were playing together in front of their hall before they were found dead.”
