A unified prayer was held in the city of Mosul in Nineveh Governorate to support unity and social cohesion and stand with the Prime Minister to bring Iraq to security and safety .

The media of the Permanent National Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance at the Prime Minister’s Office stated in a statement that “under the title (Messages of unity, cohesion and standing together with the Prime Minister to bring Iraq to security and safety), a unified prayer was held in the Sheikh Fathi al-Mawsili Mosque in Nineveh Governorate, in the presence of the Prime Minister’s State Advisor for Dialogue and Rapprochement Affairs, Chairman of the Permanent National Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance, a number of officials in the governorate and diverse community elites from different sects, where Sheikh Muhammad al-Nouri, a member of the Supreme Endowments Council in the Sunni Endowment Diwan, led the prayers .”

The statement continued, “The preacher began with several messages in which he spoke about the unity, steadfastness, and solidarity of the sons of Iraq, the land of prophets, imams, and righteous people, reviewing the great lessons that the nation can draw from the lives of the prophets and righteous people, may God’s prayers and peace be upon them .”

He stressed the “necessity of supporting the government and its efforts to achieve intellectual, cultural and societal security and stability, and supporting the Prime Minister, by standing in one line with him to achieve security and peace in Iraq.”
