This year, the University of Nineveh has made progress in the results of the special edition of the Arab region’s universities, as the university ranked 12th out of twenty-five Iraqi universities included in this classification, competing in its position with its sister universities from the prestigious Iraqi universities.

The global ranking indicated that (246) institutions in the Arab region competed according to indicators of academic reputation, the institution’s reputation with employers, the ratio of faculty members to students, and the international research network.

The results showed a significant increase in the number of competing Iraqi universities to twenty-five, while the University of Baghdad obtained the thirty-eighth place in this version, followed by the universities of Al-Mustansiriya, Basra, Al-Nahrain, Kufa, Babylon, Technology, Anbar, Karbala, Mosul, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical, Nineveh, Tikrit, Diyala, Al-Qadisiyah, the Islamic University, Wasit, Al-Iraqiya, Al-Muthanna, Central Technical, Northern Technical, Southern Technical, Fallujah, Kirkuk, and Dhi Qar.
