The Ministry of Transport announced On achieving a new accomplishment in the air transport sector, as Iraqi Airways recorded a significant increase in the number of flights and passengers during the past month of August, the highest of its kind since the Corona pandemic .
The Ministry’s media office explained that “the total number of flights carried out during the mentioned period amounted to 2,372 flights, while the number of passengers reached 398,343 passengers, which positively reflects on the level of performance, development and efficiency of air operations .”
According to the statement, the company’s Deputy General Manager, Dhu al-Fiqar Abdul Hussein, confirmed that “this increase was achieved as a result of the efficiency of the company’s operational plan, which was developed to meet the needs of travelers and provide diverse travel options for various local and international sectors at reasonable prices, and enhance all services provided on board the Green Bird, amid expectations of this growth continuing in the coming months.”
