Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association, Hayreddin Ocak, announced that Iraq imported apples worth $38 million during the past 8 months of this year .

Ojak said in a statement that the association exported apples to countries around the world worth $321 million during the past 8 months, an increase of 28 % compared to the same period last year .

He explained, “India ranked first in the list of countries to which we exported the largest quantity of apples, at $53 million, and Iraq ranked second with $38 million in exports, while we exported apples worth $18 million to Russia.”
