The commander of the western Nineveh operations, Major General Ali Fadhel Omran, announced that the Iraqi forces had taken full control of Sinjar district and the border strip with Syria.
The commander of the western Nineveh operations said that the Iraqi forces are imposing their full control over the Sinjar district and the areas of Al-Jazeera extending towards Syria, in addition to their full control over the border with Syria, which extends in Nineveh for a distance of 265 km, while Imran pointed to the improvement of the situation in Sinjar, confirming the registration of the return of more than 11 thousand families to the district and its affiliated towns and villages as a result of this improvement.
