The Ministry of Water Resources announced the development of treatments to improve the work of filling the foundations of Mosul Dam, while indicating the use of a new type of ultra-fine resistant cement.
Mosul Dam Deputy Director, Mohammed Khaled, said that the technical and engineering staff at the dam used ultra-fine, high-quality, resistant cement for the foundation filling works of Mosul Dam.
He added that the new cement mixture contributed to enhancing the efficiency of the walk and reducing the amount of filtration by a large percentage compared to previous years, and pointed out that “the cement currently used is less expensive, more effective, of high quality and within international specifications.
