The Community Center of the Reviving the Spirit of Mosul Initiative organized a symposium entitled “Al-Hadbaa Returns” to celebrate the construction of the minaret of the Great Mosque of al-Nuri reaching a height of 40 meters.
The symposium was attended by Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, members of the provincial council, and a number of officials and activists in the city of Mosul.
The symposium reviewed the latest developments in the reconstruction project of the Great Mosque of al-Nuri by local Iraqi hands.
It is worth noting that work on the Al-Nouri Mosque and its Al-Hadba minaret is proceeding at a new pace at the present time after witnessing hesitation and delay during the past months.
The reconstruction project of the Al-Nuri Mosque and the Al-Hadba Minaret is being implemented by UNESCO with funding from the United Arab Emirates.
