The Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, directed the ministry’s staff to be fully mobilized to confront the bad weather conditions and rainfall .
A statement by the Ministry of Electricity stated that “Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadhil directed the ministry’s staff to be fully mobilized to confront the heavy rainfall and support the efforts of the Baghdad Municipality and municipal departments in all governorates .”
The minister stressed, according to the statement, “the exclusion of electricity feeders for wastewater and rainwater drainage stations, hospitals and health centers from the scheduled outage,” calling on all general managers, branch and sector managers and maintenance centers to “be present in their departments and monitor the networks and feeders, pay attention to citizens’ complaints, and restore all faults and disconnected lines .”
According to the statement, the Ministry of Electricity called on “citizens to stay away from the network’s limits, such as electricity poles and wires, and not to approach them during the rainy season, to preserve their safety.”
