A security source in Diyala reported, last Wednesday evening, that an Iraqi army officer committed suicide in a cemetery northeast of the province .
The source confirmed “A captain in the Iraqi Air Defense, born in 1992 and a resident of Khanaqin district, committed suicide last night by shooting himself inside the (recruitment) cemetery on the outskirts of Jalawla district, northeast of Diyala .”
The source added, “The suicide incident is still mysterious,” noting that “patrols from the Jalawla Police Department accompanied by forensic evidence transported him to Jalawla Hospital, but he passed away before arriving at the hospital.”
