The Compensation, Injured and Displaced Persons Committee in the Nineveh Governorate Council confirmed that there is a significant delay in disbursing compensation amounts for those affected by military and terrorist operations in the governorate.

The head of the committee, Muhammad Arif, explained that the compensation transactions that have been completed for those affected in Nineveh exceed 70,000 transactions, and what has been disbursed so far does not exceed 50,000 transactions. He added that there are 20,000 compensation transactions for those affected in Nineveh whose amounts have not been disbursed by the Ministry of Finance. Which indicates that there is a delay in the ministry regarding the disbursement of compensation, and Arif called on the Prime Minister to intervene immediately and instruct the Ministry of Finance to disburse the amounts owed to those entitled to them in the governorate.
