The spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture, Muhammad Al-Khuzaie, said in a statement that this came after the clarification submitted by the Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Jabr Al-Maliki, to the Federal Supreme Court on 7/11/2024 regarding the ownership of agricultural lands .
Al-Khuzaie explained, “The Federal Court responded in its letter No. 142 on 8/8/2024 that agricultural lands and orchards are excluded from being allocated to the governorate, as are all the lands mentioned in Article (7 / Eleven / 2 / First) .”
He added, “This decision confirms that agricultural lands are federal and are the exclusive responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture, as it has the sole jurisdiction in this field, which opens the door wide to developing and advancing the agricultural reality in all governorates.”
